What is the EFL MSP Solution?

At EFL, we have designed an end-to-end solution for our reseller partners so they become a managed service provider without having the manpower or technical expertise of doing so. In order to achieve this, we have partnered with ZyXEL to utilise their Nebula platform, alongside our technical knowledge and fulfilment

services.

Our end-to-end service will support our reseller partners from set-up to ongoing support and management and including hardware provisioning and training, we can look after every aspect of the service. Our MSP solution provides a truly transparent service, providing configured equipment, uploaded to customers’ portals.

Platform Setup

This will include contact information management, password and user authentication management service licence calculation, network report management. As a part of this service, we will also provide our clients with user & device management which includes, the ability to connect to existing Authentication methods e.g. Radius along with built-in user/device management access as well as managing guests via Captive portals. We will also help you select the right equipment from a portfolio of 56+ devices suited for all budgets and performance requirements. As a part of our commitment, we aim to provide detailed information about real-world scenarios on how and why to use network features and explain how you will benefit from its configuration.

Fulflment Services

With our fulfilment service, we will inspect, power and register your device before shipping. This means that you don’t have to do anything, as your devices will be shipped checked, pre-configured and updated to the client.

How does upgrading Nebula free to Nebula Pro works?

As it has been explained previsouly there are two tiers to Nebula, free & pro. Zyxel provides long-term free pro pack on a number of their line-up and Nebula free on others. (Free Nebula Pro duration is based on the model, please confirm with your account manager before purchasing)

Nebula Pro works on a points based system. What this means is that in order to support a device for a year, the organisation account is required to purchase a certain number of points. This means within an organisation, it is not possible to have to mix of free & pro Nebula enabled devices. Once you purchase a certain amount of points, it will be devided equally amongst all the devices registered to the said organisation.

Please bear in mind that dependant on the device line-up you need different amount of points per year to support devices under Nebula pro.

For example: Organisation X has 3 Nebula enabled devices in their offices, device A, B & C. Device A requires 30 points per year, device B 60 and device C 90. In order for a reseller to have Nebula Pro for organisation X, they require 180 points. However, if the reseller wishes to purchase less than 180 points, the points will be distributed amongst these devices in such way that all three would benefit from the pro pack for the same amount of time.

This means that if the reseller purchases 90 points, 15 oints will be applied to device A, 30 points to device B & 45 points to device C, which will enable Nebula Pro on all 3 devices for 6 months.

How much expertise & involvement do I need to be able to benefit from EFL's MSP solution?

At EFL, we have worked very hard to design a support package for our resellers, to minimise and eliminate their pain in becoming an MSP. This means that we do as much as we can to support you, to save you money, manpower & time whilst increasing your profit margins & customer reach. 

We achieve this by offering you one of the best in class fulfilment services available within the industry, taking you out of the equation whilst eliminating DOA, sending products fully updated and configured to your end customer. This means that there will be no time & money wasted in cases of DOA, and due to devices being fully configured, there is no need to send an engineer onsite as installation process will be plug & play at this stage.

From your end, all we need is for you to setup a Nebula account and give us inventory access.

 

Will there be any security risks similar when devices are speaking to Nebula that can be exploited leaving my client exposed?

Firstly, there can never be a gaurantee that a system is alwasy safe, as hackers are always trying their best to breach company’s firewalls. However, what Nebula is offering is much safer than other ways of managing devices off-site. When an external platform is trying to talk to a device, one is required to open a gate in the firewall, allowing the external platform to speak to the devices. This will create a gap in the company’s firewall, which can be exploited.

However, in the case of Nebula, Zyxel has reversed the circle, this means that instead of the software (Nebula) connecting to the devices, devices connect to the software, hence eliminating the need to opening a firewall gate to allow access.

This system will then ensure the integrity of customers’ firewall system thus decreasing chances of security threats.
